"it was the 4 of July"

The 4th of July was a very busy but fun weekend. On Friday when I got off work Tat and I did a small amount of shopping and I made cup cakes and we also enjoyed playing the game together. On Saturday Tat could not go with to a cook out at my son’s mother-in-laws house. His ankle is hurting again pretty badly. He had to use a cane so he would not fall down while walking. We had all planned on going to the fireworks and they place we like to park you have to climb up a rather steep hill and he just knew he would not be able to do that. My Dad did go with us to the cook out and ate and enjoyed it. Dad then fell asleep in a chair so I woke him up and asked if he wanted to go home. I took him home so he could go to bed. That did work out cause when I got home Tat wanted to go with to see the fireworks but we decided to park on a back road so he did not have to climb that hill. We found a real good place ro watch them and we even got a bonus of another show that a farmer had going on. This other show was about half an hour long and almost as good as a town’s show. I did say almost cause when his was done on our right the town show began on the left and it was even bigger and better. That show went on for an hour and a half. When it was over we went out to my son’s father-in-laws farmhouse to meet the kids. We got there before them and Larry came out wondering who was there. I yelled out his name and he knew who it was. We talked to him till they all got there.

My son had bought about $500 worth of fireworks and that is what he was going to let off on the farm. Baby boy had stayed at his other grandma’s house cause fireworks happens during his bedtime and he gets real crabby. The other two were being good and liked watching the display. My son and his brother-in-law did all the lighting and my husband and I helped get the stuff ready. This went on for about an hour it really did look cool and was fun. But finally it was all done so we all went home.
My son told me that his wife wanted to sleep till 10 the next morning before going to breakfast and then to the zoo. Well I tried hard to stay in bed and was able to stay in bed till almost 9. I got up did laundry straightened up and got ready till my son finally called. My husband and I switched vehicles so I had the bigger on. It also was the one with the lest amount of gas. My son put $40 in the tank and he bought breakfast too. We thought we really should have gotten there more like I normal time cause it was very full. But we had our good waitress so it was not that bad. She did mess up once and tried to give me a patty melt when I ordered a skillet scramble. That was ok cause I caught it right away.
We got to the zoo with only alittle bit of a mess up with getting there cause of construction. I did real good with all that walking and only had to use my inhaler once the whole day. . I did slow them down walking in the parking lot. We had both the babies in strollers so that worked out great. Jedi kept up real well so it was just me slowing them down but they were ok with it. My son did say on the way back to the car that he should have a stroller for me and baby girl together.. We laughed about that. I as fine walking in the park going from cage to cage. There was a few times I sat and waited for them. Once I had baby boy with me while they took Jedi and baby girl potty. We stayed by the lions and cause it was hot the loins went inside and no one could see them so most people just walked away so we got to sit in relative peace. There was another time I sat with him while they went in the reptile house cause I do not do snakes. Once we had walked around and seen all the animals we got in line for the train. It took about 45 minuets to finally get on the train but sure did not take that long to ride around since it is a small zoo. We really did have a good time at the zoo.
On the way home we stopped at a sonic and I bought our food. I did also buy the kids a Popsicle in the park cause it was hot. I had one too and it was good. At sonic the drinks looked good but the food was not that great. My son and I both got chicken fried steak on toast and it did not taste good at all. Neither of us finished the sandwich. We did fin ally get home and I was very hot and my hair felt so icky and wind blown that I took a quick shower. Tat and I had plans for going to the driving theater. We were taking Jedi with us. They had Jedi in pajamas but not the kind that look all jammies like. We stopped at McDonald’s for supper cause Tat was hungry. Jedi and I also had small meals and he played on the slide in Toyland. We had time till we had to get to the drive in so it was fine. We did get there and Tat and Jedi messed around outside of the truck for awhile till the cartoon began. Just before the movie bagan we made Jedi get in the back sit.
The two of them totally enjoyed the movie the Transformers. I was sitting there watching the same movie they were watching and I could not even keep track of what robot was what and they bother were in grossed in this thing. I would chuckle and the funny spots but the movie really was not for me at all. I did get a kick out of watching a man almost 40 and a 9-year-old boy digging a movie so much. The boy was all jumping around and getting excited and the man was staring and smiling when the boy got excited. When the movie ended they both went that was the best movie ever. I just laughed at them and told my husband how I did not get it. He said I was just to much of a girl, maybe.

I was able to get right to sleep when I got home and I even still got up with the alarm this morning. I made it to my restaurant and even remembered to make out my rent check and car payment check before I left. I am here at work the whole day cause I switch tomorrow to a half a day due to birthday.
